Right now, you have to use the downlowd link in Mylochka's fan art thread- just untill notsonoble gets the file uploaded here. But I thought I'd go ahead and set up the discussion thread.

This story takes place almost immediately after the events in the 3-parter "A Tale of Two Captains". But I beleive there's enough recap in the story that reading the 3-parter isn't required- although if you don't, you'll be missing out on a heck of a story- or so I think. :D

Looking forward to reading it, but at 87 pages, it may take me awhile. I'll have it on my screen this week though. :)

Yeah, it's a long one. Thing is, it's kind of "The flip side" of the next graphic novel. "Special Report" tells the story of Jan and her command crew over the 17 months it'll take to repair and/or rebuild Enterprise. "Treasures" is Kang's story and it follows him instead of Jan. It actually falls inbetween "A Tale of Two Captains" and "Special Report". There'll be some overlap- there'll be no way to avoid it- but for the most part, it's Kang's story.

There's nothing wrong with framing a story so there is overlap and so you can tell what's going on when. It's a very common tool in writing, ESPECIALLY in comics. :)

I'm already started on it, but have a long way to go.

Ken :)

Does it fit in well enough with ATOTC and it's story? I wanted to finish out Kang's mission and lay some ground work for the rest of the series.

It seemed to fit well with it. The main critique I had in part of it if anything, was that there were a few sections that were a little hard to read due to issues with the .pdf resolution. But that was a technical problem. I caught a few small mispellings but I couldn't tell you where they are.

I don't understand the resolution issue. My copy's clear. Anyone else have that issue?

It's not that it isn't readable, it's just not as crisp as it could be. Is it a series of bitmaps joined together to make it a .pdf?

No. It was a word document file.
